If I lived in the real world I would not keep drooling over old Porsches! I know I will never be able to afford a 917!
The most dangerous part of the flight is the drive to the airport. Has been proven time and time again. The chance of another Luby's incident is very real and the chances of being shot like this are much higher than winning the lotto.
We keep having them from time to time and just a few months ago in Tucson we had a student go into a college and kill three of his teachers because he was not happy with them. This type of thing can and will happen and if guns are completely banned, then some nut will use a machete or knife or baseball bat.
If you guys are happy and feel safe without a weapon, more power to you. Its kinda like driving around without a fire ext. in your car. I keep one because three times now I have stopped and put out a fire in other peoples car. Hope I never need it myself but its sure come in handy and saved three cars so far. Not having one is asking for problems in my book and my book is the one that I go by. You guys have another book and hope it works for you!
BTW, in Singapore now and typing at 0400 in the morning. Jet lag and Pelican work well together!
