When we had our JK Wrangler, we bought the "X" with the base wheel/tires. The tires the X came with are absolutely a joke on a 4x4. But alot of people will buy a brand new Jeep, take it to the tires store and buy a whole new set of bigger/badder wheels/tires. Even the dealers do this. Kept an eye out at the local tire shops and Craigslist. Sure enough a set of brand new, less than 20 miles, set of Rubicon wheels/tires came through. Picked them up for a couple of hundred dollars.
The warning about the date codes is important. In our case, they were the new factory set so no worries there.
