I hop in Peggy this morning and the left head light blew, no biggie. I get to work go into the store room and grab a seal beam and head back outside. Break both adjusters in the process of removing the headlight. Okay they are 26 years old, it happens. Have to order new ones.
I go turn on my computer only to find out that my boss didn't do any of the entry stuff for the last 3 days last week, so I spend an hour entering all the inspection stickers they wrote while I was off. Then the state police computer crashes, so I am going to have to hand write everything and go back and re enter it all later. I find they left 8 vehicles because they didn't feel like dealing with them, so I started my day doing thursday and friday's stuff.
My adjusters finally get there and they are broken in the box. Peggy's headlight bucket is taped into the the radiator support.
Now it is lunch time. One of the guys brings in a Peterbuilt road tractor while I am eating and proceeds to have the engine expire in my inspection bay. Guess what I am again 3 hours behind the clock and not the least bit happy about it.
Peggy stuff is understandable, the rest of that crap was avoidable. I don't know why I ever take time off because I always come back to a frigging mess.
