I am in agreement. After spending $400+ in range rental (gun + required range ammo) I have concluded that my first hand gun is going to be the M&P...but in .45. It just feels great in my hands and for whatever reason I shoot it well. I have shot all manner of Sig, HK, XD, and Glock...but the M&P has me sold.

Additionally I don't know why but I have been consistently more accurate with .45 caliber...much more than 9MM, slightly better than .40. Once I actually own the weapon I will start loading a snap cap or two at the range to see where I am with flinch. Yes the .45 is more expensive compared to 9mm...but not as much as I expected. I originally thought I would go with the .40 and spring for a 9mm barrel conversion but then thought better. Just go with .45. It's what I want in a handgun. LOL.
