I have an 84 Carrera that has paint issues. The car is a factory black car, and it had a respray roughly 10 years ago that is beginning to suffer in some spots. I am putting together parts for a non-widebody IROC conversion, and I am considering changing colors...I really didn't want a black car to begin with, but it was such a bargain that I couldn't be picky on color.
I have always thought that Porsche sold so many black cars, that it could be looked at as basically a blank slate and a color change won't hurt value too much
. I am doing some lightening and IROC bumpers all around anyway, so will I have already destroyed any remaining "original value"?
