I immediately searched for tires when I got off the phone with the guy about the 17's. I have a narrow body mid-year, so 225's is all I can fit in the back--fenders rolled. I am running 225/45 16's right now and really like the extra little accleration bite 45's give me. To get that same rolling diameter in a 17 I need to go to a 225/40, which in my initial searches turned up Hoosier track slicks--and that's it. Yokohama makes S Drives in a bone-jarring 225/35! size, but that's actually a smaller diameter than 225/45 on a 16. So I might have to bite the bullet and go up an inch in rolling diameter. If so I'll get Dunlop Star Specs more than likely. The Euromeister wheels are $149 for a 7x17". I will take the leap for that price all day long.
