Both handguns and rifles are made in the same caliber for the following calibers (incomplete list):
.17 HMR
.22 LR
.22 Mag
.223 Rem
.357 Mag / .38 Special
9mm
.40 S&W
.45 ACP
.50 Beowulf
What is "armor piercing"? .22LR can defeat a medieval suit of armor or chain mail.
Most cheap Russian ammo has a steel core, which could also be considered "armor piercing".
Anything handloaded or +P could be considered "armor piercing".
What this bill really does is to give the AG the ability to arbitrarily ban any ammo.
