Whereas it is not "factory" it is quite nicely done with the type of upgrades that make the car a better driver. Yes, yes, the purists will flap their hands like enraged butterflies at the non-stock items, but this car can and should be driven.
An E-type is bought on emotion. No one in their right mind would buy one as a logical decision. Well done as this car as (as a driver - more of a resto-rod), someone will step up nicely for it. I don't see it going for a 1/4 mil, but I'll bet a serious "second chance" offer in the 175 to 200 range would take it home.
I should probably note that I have a ridiculous weak spot for vintage Jaguars... If money were not an object, more than one E type (preferably a coupe) and a long-nose D would be in the expansive garage that would be built to house these treasures.
