As a Senior in high school the English teacher on our first day in class wanted everyone to write down the name of the schools they have attended and what they wanted to do for a living. I started writing furiously and when she got to me I told her I was only up to 5th grade and I was still working on my list. She continued on and most of the other kids had been to the same elementary-middle school just a few blocks away and then come to the high school. My high school was my 11th school in 12 years of school. That high school was the only time I got to return to the same school as the year before. I had started in 1st grade in Hawaii in Pearl City and I went to class barefoot and with no shirt.
Every year for 11 years I heard "Class this is Glen the new kid"
