You ought to drive around in Alabama or Tennessee for a while. We don't need no steenkin' inspections. Heck, we don't even need license plates. In Alabama, when somebody doesn't have a license plate, they just write "Lost Tag" on a piece of cardboard and attach it where the license plate should go. I've seen it with my own eyes...
I've been driving since 1980 and have never had a vehicle inspected.
