The face of the driver and the shaft make a huge change to the ball flight and distance.
No doubt, a good teacher can change your swing over a period of time.
To change the swing path and all the other things needed to produce a good swing takes
dedication and repitition.
I have had hundreds of lessons and practiced and played almost everyday for the last five years.
I also do a golf specific strength and flexability training for an hour everyday.
Now thats a big commitment for improvement.
My point is , its hard to make "good" changes to a golf swing.

Look at getting a driver with the right shaft and face on it.
It does help.
If you can pick up 5 or ten meters, it will be worth it.
Enjoy the game, its a great challenge.
