Miss Daisy

Miss Daisy was taken for a ride in April 1981 by the PO, down to the east coast "camping" for a long weekend easter I think, him and the missus. They slept in the car, on the way back they had a fight and she told him to get rid of her and buy a quote "family car" unquote, well he parked her in his garage and went out and bought a family car. and there she sat until 7th June 2011 when me and a friend dragged her poor old sorry arse outa there.

She is complete, nothing missing matching numbers engine gearbox, matching numbers panels, original paint, everything intact and came with a spare 1600 engine, and other misc parts that he had been hoarding to do her up. We have not tried to do anything other than give her a bath and clean out the slightly dusty interior. I have redone her dash which was cracked, and have new upholstery for the front seats because it was cracked as well, will not be replacing the seat pads just upholstery and some additional foam to soften and mould the seats up a bit, Her dash is so lovely, everything shiny. polished up all of the bezels around the guages and they came up a treat.

Yeah she has a few dents etc, but I am going to leave them on her, patina I call it. She is virtually rust free, Canberra is not a very wet place, very low humidity.

She should just need all new brake lines and fuel lines etc, and her brakes were ceased, so some other work required there. But not allowed until I get the 911 finished, there would be a divorce if I started work on her before hubbies car gets back on the road.
