I pushed pretty hard yesterday and made it all the way to Pendleton, OR. Yesterday morning's pictures of the snowy 911 were as bad as the snow ever got. By the time I hit the Utah border, the snow was gone. The little bit that was on my car hung in there until about mid Idaho! It was pretty cool to watch how the wind cut the snow and showed me the way air was flowing around the car.
Always a good time for science!
This was just over the Oregon border, running along the Snake river.
The car has been planted and well sorted for the whole trip. I still have a bit of a shake above 75mph, but because of my transmission issue I've limited my speed to 70. The curvies through the hills have been a lot of fun.
For the Denver people...
This was out on the Eastern plains a couple of days ago...
Today is the final leg. I need to hit Seattle first, then over to Bremerton. I am going to thumb my nose at mother nature and go via Snowqualmie.
Thanks for the interest and support! I have a bunch of pictures and other stuff that I'll post up when I have a little more time.
