Technically we are in violation of Porsche's trademarks and copyrights by just uttering their name or using their model numbers, crest etc without prior written permission. In fact, there is some legal basis supporing that the mere display of an image or likeness (line drawing or painting) of a product created by Porsche® without permission is a violation.
I fully understand and agree with the need to protect one's intellectual property, and have had to vigorously do so in my own business on several occasions. However, I think that Porsche may be stepping over the line towards "bad will" in their behavior towards various internet sites and clubs/organizations. The PCA and POC, amongst others, are constantly dealing with Porsche's legal department to determine what can and can not be said or done.
