Yes I am home. Brad hand was riding with me and Matt was following in his 928. We all came home this evening in Matt's car.

Trying to decide whether to bring the car back to OKC to have it fixed by my trusty mechanic or to have a known good 928 mechanic in Dallas wrench it for me. Dallas guy just about only works on 928s and his hourly rate is cheaper. OKC mechanic has offered to go pick it up.

No it is not as bad as it gets. As bad as it gets is an automatic with Thrust Bearing Failure, requires a new short block.

The only real bummer for me is I have to pull the engine to get the heads off to have the heads done and replace any bent valves.

Doing research on cams for best bang for buck replacements.

Can't afford to do anything to the bottom end since the engine will be out anyway stuff. But it will be inspected thoroughly once out.
