I just did my AOS (1999 Boxster). That line was both flexible and had plenty of slack. I did the following:
1: Raised car and removed right wheel.
2: Removed upper tube that leads to intake.
3: Removed bolts that hold AOS in-place from underneath (through right wheel).
4: Removed AOS from "seated" position and rotated to access the lower line.
5: Disconnected lower line and removed AOS.
Reverse order to reinstall. Wayne said 2 hours and it took me 4, but I did not have to pull the intake or anything else really. My issues were:
1: I knocked a wheel weight off when I pulled the tyre. Got Walmart to give me a new one for free.
2: I had a tough time putting the upper hose back on while the car was still lifted. I was not tall or strong enough (or both). Once I put the car back down it went right on.
Hope that helps.
