Few questions:
You said the cam deviation was dead on 0 after the change. What was it prior to the change and if it was it steady at the deviated level or wavering?. Reason I ask is Durametric is reading mine as -4.22 on Camshaft position 1 and -6.11 on position 2 and they are both steady. I read that as long as they are steady it should be fine and need not be 0.
Did you replace with Porsche IMS or LN ones?
What made you pull out and look at the IMS even though there weren't any symptoms?
