Hear all you guys saying he shouldn't have sold the 911...
Maybe yes, maybe no.
All I know is that the GTI is infinitely more comfortable and practible for the street!
A vintage 911 is not even in the same ballpark.
I have a 2006 GTI that has been re-flashed to the tune of about 250 hp and nearly 300 ft-lbs of torque.
The car never misses a beat.
Easy to maintain.
I certainly never fear parking it anywhere and walking away for a couple of hours.
And still quite fun to drive.
As quick and capable as a 911 on the track or auto-x course...of course not.
But around town, the GTI to me, whips the 911's butt hands down.
Luckily I didn't have to sell my 911 to purchase my GTI.
So I get the best of both worlds.
All I know is that when I crave comfort and no muss....it's the GTI every time.
