There is people here with twice that mileage but since you are not the first owner, the PPI is crucial as a good rebuild will cost at least 6K if you do it yourself...
Do spend the money on a good PPI, one with Compression Test and Leak Down.
Get recommendation for the shop as many of them don't do the Leak Down properly.
If they wont let you watch the PPI get another shop.
