General public is "touchy" about gas prices, but I would be happy to see gas taxes doubled (as long as the overall tax rate isn't increased, ie something else lowered).
As it is now nobody in any place of power has much interest in lowering oil profits, and we are clearly getting screwed top to bottom in the process.
OTOH I WISH gas was the major expense on my 928s.
