The giveaway is the complex sentences and words. They never figure out in Africa, that big sentences don't impress folks like they think it would.
"I work for a privately held manufacturing company, which currently purchases a product vital to its processing operations at a price significantly above the manufacturing cost. In my proposed business venture, you would assume the role of stand-in supplier, providing this key material while retaining the same profit margins. My role would be to introduce you to my company as the supplier and to obtain a contract between you and my employer."
WTF? " I'm a middle man trying to get you to sell stuff to a company that needs to buy stuff from you."???
We had a new recrute at work, who used to send emails to customers , (tech support) in what only can be described as advanced power english.
Note, those were his words, when i confronted him with his emails, and tried to explain to him that he really oughta keep his emails to the point, and simple, because he had german customers and those english emails would simply not do the trick with Germans..
his reponse was :maybe you should learn better english if you can't understand my power english..
riiiiiight. No problem mate, as your mentor, i'm tell you to knock i off or you'll be looking for another place to use your power english real soon.
