In my car, a PO had installed large stereo speakers in an upholstered fiberglass rear deck thing in the rear window. It was hooked up to a new Sony radio/CD/etc unit in the dashboard. I took the whole rear deck and speakers out.

I still have that radio, but with no speakers attached. I'm thinking that this car didn't have stereo in the first place, so how about installing one speaker in the grill in the top of the dash?

In a car this loud, why on earth would I concern myself with hi-fi? I'm the occasional news and weather type anyway, and never listen to music while driving.

Has anyone gone this route?
