Ah, the the
Monastery at Petra Jordan. Some of those carved buildings are still used today. I walked around there in total awe. The outsides are so ornate but you walk into any of them and they have simple square rooms, not a warren of caves or anything like that as suggested in the Indiana Jones movie.
