I paid $750 for a 92% Python 6" in blue (with its original box) a few months ago. I've seen them at up to $1500 (NIB). The Python was made from 1955-1999 and 2001-2003 (Python Elite).
Personally, I prefer the S&W revolver for its trigger feel.
