I am not BSing you..so take this seriously...if you buy a 686 buy an earlier one that is NIB...SN prefix AAA through BDZ...which is a late 1988 revolver. Before they did their internal mods...they are rather plentiful in this condition so it will not be that hard to find.
4, 6 or 8 3/8....if you can find one buy it with the adjustable FRONT sights...6 or 8 3/8 the adjustable front sights are a bit tougher to corral.
