I just went through this with a batwing. There are 5 fingers on the back of the puck. you have to carefully fold them up to push up the chrome ring. The chrome ring is extremely vulnerable (flimsy) and once it is bent, it is dun. Stoddard now has a replacement chrome ring for a whopping $150
You'll need a bit of foam. Glue it to the center and then glue the leather pad to the foam. Reinstall and voila, an entire Saturday wasted - but it will look nice!!
