There will always be those who go for the money and whose lives will be cut short because of health issues. One of my best friends from high school had his life turn out this way. His family was always money oriented. He got stock for his birthdays instead of a bicycle or whatever. He became and attorney specializing in setting up banks, loan institutions, & other similar enterprises. He married an attorney. When I visited him in his late 30's, he had a huge house, plane, several expensive cars, house in Monterey, vacations in Europe yearly, and he said to me, "We've pretty much gone for the money." He died at almost 49 of brain cancer. The sad thing was he was still going for the money. It was sad, but I somehow felt not so bad about my life of kicking around until a later age.
