A couple of years ago they were talking about shutting down one of the big refineries but for no other reason than to "stimulate demand". What does that mean to us little people? It means the prices will go up. Supply and demand is such an interesting thing to think about. For instance, why did Detroit build so many huge gas guzzling cars during the "fuel shortage" in the 70's? It was marketing and the big three are butt buddies with the fuel industry. This is why the electric car is kept off the market and the hybrids are not only ineffecient, but they are ugly to keep them from having high resale value. Also the hybrids still make you have to buy that precious desert crude. Even the electric cars are void of available technology that could make a two phase self charging system work on perpetual motion.
