I have been re-ripping all of my CDs to new MP3s. I made my MP3s the first time way back in the stone ages when Sid was in grade school. I was using my Windows 95 machine with a 1 or 2 gig hard drive. After a dozen CDs, I had to copy the MP3s to CDs and DVDs just to have room on my hard drive. Over the years many of the MP3 tags have been garbled. The music plays but the information is just unknown album or unknown artist. There was no art-work associated with any of those old files.
Now I am re-ripping at a higher quality and the magic of the internet makes it very easy. I have about 100 CDs and I am just slapping in a cd and let it RIP. I checked my hard drive and I only have 890 GB of room left.
The thing that blows me away the most is I will have room for every CD I own on my phone, with room to spare.
