We just got our camera back from the scheduled service. We loaded that 200 lb lens in the airplane and put the 150 lb drive unit on it, loaded up the two 25 lb film magazines and or pilot flew to 100 miles to fly a big project. The camera would not fire. He had to come back and after several hours on the phone we gave up. We missed a perfect day of flying. Then on Monday in the crappy weather he flew down to Louisiana to get the other camera. We have to figure out if it is the lens or the drive unit that is not working. Then we ship it back for repair, and get the other camera back so they can fly some projects. It cost a ton to ship that lens and drive unit back to have it worked on and they charge a ton to work on it.
The joys of a business.
