It's probably the connections to the speedo cluster. There are three plug in connections to the cluster. You will have to pull the binnacle, and check the plugs. If they are plugged in, you might need to clean the contacts where they plug in. Sometimes the speed sensor goes out or gets dirty. It clips onto the very rear of the transmission with a screw and a pin. Usually that is the problem when ONLY the speedometer doesn't work. When one side of your cluster goes out, it's usually a bad connection to the cluster. The fuel guage is probably the electronics that connect into the fuel tank or the fuel level sending unit inside the tank. They are accessed under the rear carpet in the back glass. The cover is right on top of the fuel tank. There is a connector that plugs in under a fiberglass sheet directly under the carpet.
