Bad speedo connections are the main reason I think its still possible to find low mileage 928's.
Sensor can apparently fail back in the tranny (not really sure about this being common).
4 pin connector in the top front of the spare tire well needs cleaning.
Pins on the pod connection fingers need cleaning.
Ground points need cleaning.
Flexible circuit boards need replacement and/or cleaning and/or resoldering.
Fuse Alan mentions above.
Assuming all electrical works, a gear in the odometer commonly fails.
