I plan to keep my El Camino for many more years. What compressor would you recommend for the future? The Delco units are hard to find and almost as expensive as the Nippindenso on my 911. Millions of cars use the R4, who makes a good one? If Ransu only has 7 left they will be gone very soon unless they start making them again.
Are you thinking I can indeed swap the clutch from my old dead Delco to the new compressor? A friend of mine has the tools to do it, but if the shaft is different it is a pointless effort.
