I saw another thread here about the Ohio Chardon High shooter and was going to highjack that one but this probably deserves it's own thread.
Someone on that thread suggested blaming the parents - I'm not sure if that should have been in green font or not?
Blame the parents? That's exactly what they are trying to do with a sickening case we had down here recently.
During the Christmas holidays a 16 year old deadbeat loser rapes a 5 year old tourist while she lay in bed in a caravan in a holiday camp. Her parents were were only metres away. But it's worse than that...he assaulted her so badly that she lost 4 teeth in the attack and had to spend a week in hospital.
The sentencing was yesterday. What do you think this sick, evil, horrific crime deserved? Death? Chemical castration? Life? Nope - the judge in all his wisdom gave ten years! Ten years becasue he was a "victim of his upbringing". Both his parents had gang connections. Alcohol and drugs were freely available in the house and he claims he had been sexually abused when he was younger.
In ten years he will be 26 years old and that poor girl will only be 15.
I certainly know what I would be doing as a father if that was my daughter...
