Most people don't seem to know that it is not proper to blow your nose in front of other people. Hello - that is disgusting to those around you. I always leave the room or at least walk far away when I blow my nose.
And if you are coughing and/or sneezing into your hand DO NOT shake someone else's hand on parting! You will surely give them your cold. Explain why and simply walk away.
