A small world. I wonder if your Dad knew my dad? He was a spokesman for General Mills and we lived in So Cal. He loved/hated the Mercedes Cars. Loved them when they ran, hated it when he had to buy a high dollar part.
He bought a 57 300S about 1967 or So. He bought a 61 300SL Roadster before that, it became my brothers car until he sold it a couple years ago . Bought a 600 Pullman Limo around 1970. These all came and went. I thinks he's bought a dozen other 450sel's 300sel's and now has a 68 600 Sedan. That's underappreciated.
That's a beautiful car you have there. I remember one of my first dates taking in a drive in movie and going to In n Out in West Covina in our 57. 4 speed on the column, very cool....
