Have to admit the FI on the 888 is nicer than the carbs on the 900 SS. Not that it's cold much here in SoCal, but it's nice to hop onto the 888, set the "choke" (that's what it's labeled, though I understand it's not really a choke in the traditional sense of the word), thumb the starter and go. On the 900 SS, the choke really is a choke, and you need a couple minutes of fiddling with it before you can ride off (smoothly at least). On the injected bike, the throttle response is noticably quicker. With the carb'd bike, you open the throttle and can imagine those air molecules getting vacuumed into the intakes, atomizing the fuel before, you feel the thrust. Maybe a little exaggeration there, but there is a seat-of-the-pants difference.
