I'm bumping this for you because I don't know the answer.
I think 930 CVs are thicker, but as an assembly, I think the whole 930 half-shaft is shorter. Maybe someone put 930 CVs on a standard '74 axle? I'm not sure that would actually work though (already contradicting myself) as the splines on the axles are only so long & I don't know if a thicker CV would even fit on a standard axle. . .
As I said, I don't know the answer. . . bump!
