get that sensor out, put an electrical resistance meter on it.
Measure when cold, then put it in boiling water, measure again.
There should be some reference data on the forum for your particular sensor
But if you don't see a change , that's a dead giveaway that the sensor is bust.
You gotta have a decent working engine temp sensor, or it's not going to happen.
For all you know, that sensor is now telling the rest of the CIS, that your engine is permanently hot, even when it's cold...
If the sensor checks out, check the wiring, make sure it's powered..could be a broken wire
