I'm a late bloomer -- started going around 2005. With my wife, in my old Subaru. I think the movie was King Kong (the Jack Black remake).

Last time I went was last fall just before the Warwick Drive in closed for the winter season. I cannot remember what movie I saw that time. But we were in Mrs. Z-man's VW Eos. Watching a drive-in movie in a convertabe is fun! I've also gone in my Ford Sport Trac, and sat in the pickup bed - also fun!

That said, Mrs. Z and I prefer the drive-in movie vs. a regular theature. During the spring-summer-fall season, 99% of the movies we see are at the drive-in. The Warwick Drive-In is about 45 minutes from our home, and we typically go up early, visit some farms for fresh produce, and will grab a sandwhich at the grocery store and have a picnic before the movie begins.

A couple of years ago, I convinced the local PCA reigon (NNJR) to do a social event at Warwick Drive-in. About 15-20 Porsches showed - it was a fun evening.

There's just something magical about a Drive-in. I have a 'bucket-list' goal to visit as many drive-ins across the USA that are still open. So far, I've been to two: Warwick Drive-In and the Saco Drive-In in Saco, Maine, which is the 2nd oldest Drive-In stil in operation.
