Wayne gives about 44 for the earlier motors, and it is the same plug thread. The later plugs take a regular socket, which is nice and allows tightening and removing to go smoothly. The older screwdriver slot plugs usually end up being turned with a pipe wrench. I don't recall ever actually torquing these, and have not had one fall out.
