Big Bob Gibson's on 6th Avenue (Highway 31).
Great BBQ and has won all kinds of awards.
Pork plates, ribs, chicken with white sauce, BBQ stuffed potatoes. $50 of food here will most likely kill a person from sheer quantity. It's a small homestyle place with most entrees under $15.
I like the stuffed potatoes (chicken with white sauce or pork with red). I do not eat there as often as I used to because it is calorie intensive.
Barbecue, barbecue ribs, food recipe, barbecue accessories, chicken wing sauce
For variety I'll add a more upscale place, Simp Mcghee's. It's a nice bistro kind of place in downtown Decatur with prices another $10-15 higher than Big Bob's and more seafood on the menu.

Or C F Penn's Hamburgers for that old style down and dirty greasy burger we all love. They are a little hole in the wall that has been selling burgers in Decatur since 1925. Order one "All the Way" to get it with mustard and onions. Order them one a at time a the bar because they are not as tasty when they cool off. Greasy, but good.
