2003 tiptronic "gear selector not engaged" message
I'm getting a "gear selector not engaged" message on 3 out of 5 start attempts. When the message appears the start sequence will not initiate. Returning the ignition switch to off once, sometimes twice, clears the message, and the engine starts without hesitation. Any ideas?
The car is an '03 996 cabriolet tiptronic.
