I've had a lot of amazingly forgiving 3-pedal cars that I have allowed several people a go at that had never done it before. With proper instruction, there really isn't a ton a damage to be done. A few times killing it at a few hundred RPM is a lot better than a few times having it slip on you at the track at 8000 RPM....

My 944 cars were, IMO, always stupid easy clutches to drive- real easy to feel the bite. I taught some people to drive in my old 89 Toyota, which didn't have a lot of feel, but didn't need it- hold gas steady and let it out, regardless of speed it just went.

My Boxster is a different story. Heavier clutch than japanese cars. Dual mass made it horribly jerky and would buck badly if you got it wrong. Clutch overheats very quickly in traffic if you slip it too much stop-n-going. Once it overheats it wants to slip more.

The Lotus is ridiculously easy to drive yet requires more revs to make up for lack of torque at idle. The clutch also feels bulletproof, unlike the Porsche's.
