DIY or sublet? For either option, I suggest you or detail shop use Meguiar or 3M products, polishing machine w/foam bonnet and practice panels.

Don't fall for paying for the application of "glazing" compounds. They will temporarily hide swirl scratches by filling the scratches. However, at the next car wash, they will appear again.

Several books on the subject to understand the correct as well as quick and dirty procedures.
