I think your best bet is to take the car to an independent (not a dealership) Porsche shop & let them take a look at it. I'm sure someone on this board can send you in the right direction. That way you'll get an idea of exactly what it needs, and the cost. Depending on their answer, you might have the opportunity to drop in a whole new (upgraded) power plant.
