it seems that being soft-spoken and agreeable has been mistaken, yet again, for weakness. i give these people several opportunities to not be an arsehole. they choose, some of them, to continue their errant ways. at some point, i become intractable, and having been mistaken for being weak, they overstep. they overstep really big. things get sticky past that point.

some realize, when i confront them, that i am completely serious and will not be taken advantage of. others do not.

things continue to get interesting at work.
