The Weltmeister broke
So I bought the $22 Weltmeister strap. The lettering is raised - but not white. Not an issue for me but it is not as pictured on Pelican.
The real problem is that one of the two straps broke within the first three weeks of installation. The link below shows the airbox straps - the OEM and cheap one say 300mm, Weltmeister gives no figure. Pelican is sending me another. I don't think the strap was defective. There is nothing peculiar about my installation that should cause these failures.....I think.

I thought it worthwhile to continue this story. Anybody else have a problem with airbox straps breaking? There is something 'meisterish' about this.
