How did it run when before you put it away?
if it ran ok then just start with something simple.
Your car is injected so you never hold it to the floor when trying to start.just turn the key and let it start,then let it run rough or? untill it clears up.
If you have already run 3 tanks of fuel through it then it was running fine for a bit.
you could have now packed your fuel filter .thats the first thing and easiest to change.
Your pump may be sounding diff because it is trying to force fuel through a clogged filter.

grew up on Mississipi lake .played hockey in Carp. Beautifull little town.
Carp is 30min or so west of Ottawa.
