Rick, correct answer is what ever sounds good to you. Be warned this is a slippery slope.....
Ive got a box of OD pedals- my long time fave "tube screamer" is an MI Audio Blues Pro. Better than my (now stolen) genuine, one owner 1981 TS9. I use this in conjuction with an MI clean booster and buffer, and the booster is usually placed after the OD. Sometime boosters and ODs can interfere with things like delays and chorus when placed ahead. You have to experiment.
